How Many Calories Are There in Hakka Noodles & Does It Have Any Health Benefits?

Hakka noodles is a popular Indian street food of Chinese cuisine. The boiled noodles are stir fried with sauces and vegetables or chicken. The main ingredient in Hakka noodles is unleavened dough of rice or wheat flour which is cooked in a boiling liquid. Noodles are dried or refrigerated before cooking. The traditional process involves splashing of oil to a large pot of boiling as well as salted water and cooking the noodles. Noodles are drained in a colander and placed in a large bowl. The warm noodles are tossed with 1 tbsp of oil so that the noodles don’t stick to one another. Chopped onions and bell peppers are sautéed with the salt, soy sauce, and Schezwan sauce. Hakka noodles are garnished with chopped spring onion and served hot.

Hakka noodles is a staple in Chinese cuisine which is made with spicy sauces, vegetables, eggs, chicken or fish. Hakka noodles are high in carbohydrates and a good source of energy. Vegetables or chicken enhances the fiber, and protein content of the dish. Traditionally, the noodles are prepared from Durum flour which is a by-product of semolina and high in protein. Soy sauce, red chilies sauce, Ajinomoto, salt and pepper makes the noodles delicious. Soy sauce gives good color and flavor whereas Red chili sauce increases the spiciness of the dish and Ajinomoto is used for flavor enhancing. Hakka noodles can be a regular meal and is one of the most popular street foods available in India. It is one of the most widely consumed and easy to prepare food in India.
