Maggi is a ready to eat Indian food which is widely used a quick snack as the preparation time is under 5 minutes, however the manufacturer claims Maggi can be cooked in 2 minutes. Maggi contains refined flour, preservatives, and sodium. There is a healthier version of Maggi called as oats and atta Maggi. However, oats or atta are added to maida, hence, the nett content of oats in these noodles is insignificant. Avoid eating Maggi on a regular basis because although it is easy to cook but does not have any serious health benefits.

Maggi’s primary ingredient is refined flour or maida, which is not easy on your digestive track. It contains unhealthy artificial preservatives and high amount of sodium which may develop the risk of high blood pressure. Never have Maggi for breakfast as it is loaded with maida which is not easily digestible. It does not provide an instant energy required to start your day. Maggi does not have much nutrients or fibre.

Why Maggi noodles are bad for your health? It is prepared from refined flour or maida and deeply fried. The amount of Sodium content is close to 46% of the daily requirement which is too high. Maggi has no nutritional value but only empty calories. Trans fats are difficult to dissolve in the body which boosts bad cholesterol and reduces good cholesterol. The dried vegetable present in Maggi lacks nutrition. The dehydrated vegetables are anything but healthy. Maggi is NOT healthy as it contains fried noodles, high amount of sodium, packaged spices, added flavours, artificial preservatives and dehydrated vegetables.
