Why Patience Is A Must While Working Out?

Why Patience Is A Must While Working Out?

Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day and “The tree that grows slow bears the best fruit.” Patience is the hardest virtue to maintain especially when we are talking about fitness and training. When the frustration of not getting visible results even after working out for months creeps in, the desire to quit, to switch it off grows inevitably and all development is lost.

Believe it or not the most scientific method of fitness training is a procedure called “progressive overload.” The body after hours of working on a particular fitness regimen gets thoroughly adjusted to the particular procedure and any deviation from it is never encouraged at all. That out and out destroys the “muscle confusion” myth as its very effectiveness is questioned. “Muscle confusion” puts forward the idea that changing the workout procedure every day guarantees faster and more visible results. While it may work out for ones who are just starting out on a workout routine because it throws in a variety of workout schemes and the body is challenged everyday yet it is not a procedure suggested to more seasoned trainees. The idea is to decide on a path and stick to it no matter what entices you to break that focus.

Another important situation that threatens every person involved with body development is the notorious “steroid” problem. Unlike the training process mentioned afore, steroids do give you that exceptional burst of muscle and visible change in body structure, at the cost of huge damage to the body which is often irrecoverable and shows up in the form of infertility, mental problems or even prostrate cancer. There is a strong chance of developing an addiction to them which can be cured as any other addiction. The huge risk and inevitable side effects are the reason why any person in their right mind should shy away from taking the easy way out. There is a reason why natural products are given greater preference than synthetic ones.

Patience is the key to overcoming obstacles, not just in life but even in your training regimen and at your gym or while you’re out running. Confusing patience with an excuse for procrastination is obviously not in anyone’s best interest and would totally nullify every reason to pen down this article. Of course, in our world today, it is nearly impossible to devote a huge chunk of our time to training and fitness. Most would just be satisfied with an hour long run or a few sets of cardio to just keep the muscles working and fat from catching on. However, those who worship their bodies and wish to preserve that pristine look definitely need to keep going because, after all, in the world today, only the passionate & the persistent survive. How many can keep on going even after their training doesn’t provide them with the boon of instant transformation? No training regimen will give you instant results which only persistence can provide, this is a gym, not a surgery! (And no that was not an encouragement to go under the scissor)

Patience while training is a virtue every fitness enthusiast must master. When it comes to your body, there cannot be any shortcuts. Persistence is rewarded. Get yourself a knowledgeable trainer with an idea about what is to be done and keep to your plan. Wait for it, even if it takes months because one fine day you will wake up and feel the best about yourself.  Good luck!
