Gajar ka halwa is a popular dessert originating from the North Indian delicacies. Tender, non fibrous and juicy carrots are used to make the halwa. The traditional Indian recipe of Gajar ka Halwa contains carrots, condensed milk, ghee, and sugar. Grated carrots are slowly simmered in milk with frequent stirring. You can also prepare Gajar Halwa in pressure cooker and microwave which takes less time.  Use Almond milk to prepare Gajar Halwa.  Since Khoya takes the time to melt, use condensed milk. It dissolves much more quickly than Khoya, although nothing beats the taste of Khoya in Gajar Halwa. You can also prepare Gajar ka Halwa in the microwave.
