What made you take up fitness seriously?
I was detected with PCOD and the doctor told me that I am medically obese. I started developing hormonal imbalances and people around me started making fun of me. I am grateful to people who insulted me because of which I am here today, happy fit and healthy.
What keeps you motivated?
I do not stay motivated everyday but I stay motivated on a consistent basis. My goal to be better in every way helps me stay motivated and even on days when I am demotivated, I push myself.
What are the hurdles you faced on course to achieving your fitness goals?
My body had hit a plateau which somehow demotivated me. Since, I am a food lover, sometimes it got really hard to control on cravings. I also wanted to give up at one time because I really wanted to eat all my favourite foods when I wanted.
Who are your role models / Whom do you look up to?
I always look upto myself, compete with myself and beat my own records.
What is your current workout program?
It is a combination of strength training and cardio. I lift 5 days a week and do cardio along with it but only 3 days a week
What diet did you follow while training?
High protein diet with medium carbs and low fats.
What is your favourite workout and your favourite body part to exercise?
I am more into lifting weights than cardio and I believe women must lift weights to achieve their fitness goals. Leg Day is something I never miss.
What is your favourite food?
Grilled chicken and mixed greens and veggies salad. I like to add whatever veggies I love and have in the salad as well.
What is your cheat meal?
Pizza
What supplements have you used and which ones do you find the best?
A good brand of Whey protein from beginning till now has always been helpful.
What are your favourite workout songs?
Migos Bad and Boujee , All the way up , Energy by Drake , Dhakkad, Final countdown, Rocky (all parts)
What have been your accomplishments so far?
I have started giving online training where I provide customized meals and training plans.
What are your long term plans in terms of fitness / career in fitness?
I aspire to start my own YouTube channel, do more research, stay fit and motivate the people to become healthy and get the bodies they desire for.
What are some diet and workout tips you would like to give our readers?
Include some portion of protein in all your meals, include lots of veggies and greens in your meals, lift heavy weights with correct form and always remember that you are capable of achieving everything you wish for.
What is one fitness advice you would like to give every beginner?
Just start and never give up
